The RentAssist bond loan is an interest-free loan program offered by the Victorian Government in Australia to help low-income earners secure rental properties by covering the cost of the rental bond. - You meet the bond loan income and asset eligibility limits
- You are a permanent Australian resident
- Your share of the rent is less than 55 per cent of your gross (before tax) weekly income
- You do not own or part-own a house, flat or unit
Loan Amounts:
- Bedsit or 1 bedroom $1,650
- 2 bedrooms $2,050
- 3 bedrooms $2,200
- 4 or more bedrooms $2,100
Income Limit (Household Weekly amount):
- Single person $619
- Couple $1,070
- Family (one or two parents) with one dependent child $1,109
- Family (one or two parents) with two dependent children $1,148
- Family (one or two parents) with three dependent children $1,187 + $39 for each extra child
